Restaurant Review: Ojai Cafe Emporium

The saying goes, “On Sunday’s we brunch,” but with Ojai Cafe Emporium just down the road from our bus stop, the notion of brunch is irresistible any day of the week. Offering a wide array of breakfast and lunch foods, Ojai Cafe Emporium is an optimal destination for a hearty weekend meal.
Morning patrons can peruse from the Emporium’s brunch menu, which offers a mouthwatering cornucopia of both sweet and savory dishes. From waffles to French toast, from breakfast burritos to omelets, the options are truly endless, especially with the restaurant’s additional “Build Your Own Breakfast” option. Most importantly, no matter if you go with a stack of three chocolate chip pancakes or a salmon scramble with a side of hash browns, your taste buds are sure to be satisfied no matter what you order.

In a rush? No problem. Pick up some quality coffee and a fresh baked muffin or scone from the Emporium’s bakery before heading back to the bus. The aroma of berries will undoubtedly get you through that Carney essay.

Even if you miss the morning town runs, the Emporium keeps the goods coming with its lunch offerings. There’s something for everyone, whether you prefer salads, sandwiches or other entrees.

Don’t hesitate to wash it all down with a glass of Chai latte or a mug of hot chocolate to end your meal right.

The next time you and your friends are agonizing over where to head for brunch, be sure to check out Ojai Cafe Emporium. Tucked behind Agave Maria’s, its venue is larger than Bonnie Lu’s but maintains a hospitable and cozy atmosphere just as well. Though the restaurant is extra popular with out of town visitors from time to time, the wait is never long and always worth it.
